this is really amazing! i think though, that if there was a nice pad added in there somewhere, it would give it the somewhat needed atmosphere to the song.

not bad! though you need more atmosphere to the song! you might try adding a pad and sidechaining it, also add some reverb on the base and synth that comes in at 0:30.
